I have spoken with Yale, they said any deadbolts manufactured AFTER 2014 are fine. I assume this may be incorrect? They are now pushing folks to the new YRD226 though as these are more expensive.
It has a slot for the module. It does not come with it. You have to buy the module separate.
The height of the unit on the back (inside the house) is 6 and 3/4'. That includes the thickness of a thin rubber gasket. Don't know if you have a screen door, but my problem was that the Yale lock on the front of the door was hitting the screen door lock. The maximum thickness of the Yale lock is 1 and 5/16'. As others have noted, ZigBee and Z-Wave are two different home automation protocols. Some home automation controllers work with both. Others work only with one or the other. The companion apps to the various home automation controllers available are for the most part available for both iOS and Android devices. Your best bet is to find the home automation system that best fits your needs and then purchase the Yale deadbolt that works with it.
