Why does this claim to be compatible with dimmable led lights, when it isn't a dimmer???
Hello VMS, thank you for your question. Some lights have built dimming capability, like our landscape lights and our season's cafe light, which both can dim via the remote control that comes with them. This item won't affect their ability to dim if they are hooked up to this timer.
Will this change the colors of my bulbs as well as on and off?
No, this is just a smart switch. It will let you turn things on and off only.

1st one quit working after one season, 2nd one never could get it connected
Horrible, horrible, horrible. It may work for some, but a device that irregularly works for some, not for others is a huge waste of time and roll of the dice. First, it requires a 2.4 GHz connection, so you must force your phone into a 2.4 connection to your wifi router. If you aren’t tech savvy, that alone will be very annoying to the user, especially if your router has a single router name and password for both the 2.4 and 5.0 GHz signals. Then, the device could not find my network. Like many, I have a common brand home router that is not public, with security (WPA) and a password. Even with the phone/app already connected through the router, even making it temporarily ‘visible’, the device couldn’t find the router and complete the link. Per customer support, tried a different cell phone (different brand phone, different cell carrier). Still didn’t work. Manual setup process did not work either, which was itself convoluted and not easy to follow, but I confirmed with tech support that I followed the steps correctly. Something as simple as a wifi device to turn something on and off or use a time schedule should not be so convoluted and complicated. Returning for refund. I have other wifi devices, including plugs, that work fine on my router, and through my phone, so any suggestion that it is the router or the phone is NONSENSE.

I love these things.
These things are great. You can put them outside and they are smart. They know when the sun goes down and you have a great deal of control with the phone software used to set them up. They can be a little challenging to set up the wifi on, but I’ve had some work immediately and others I’ve had to fuss with for a bit. I would definitely buy more of these if I had the need!

Love these plugs! I have my Halloween lights on now, and 1,000x better than the traditional timer. Dusk/Dawn is an option, but runs your lights too long. Saving $$$ on energy bills by only running when I want. The WiFi App is awesome, I can turn on or off any outlet with one click.
