Device detailed description
The SmartCode touchpad smart lock with Home Connect technology enables the lock to wirelessly communicate with other devices in home. The lock allows the user (through a web enabled device) to remotely check the door lock status, lock or unlock the door and receive notifications. SmartCode is a one-touch locking motorized deadbolt. With your personalized code, you can enter your home with the convenience of keyless entry and the back-lit keypad provides increased visibility. This SmartCode deadbolt is easy to install, program and use, and operates on 4 AA batteries. It also features SmartKey Security as the back-up keyway.

When using Z-Wave and Smartthings, is there a function that allows me to see which codes were used to enter and at time what those codes were used?
There are many 'add-on' smartapps that can be added to Smarthings. Google the Smartthings community. I use an app called Access Codes. I can remotely mange all of my codes, removal, addition, activation, timing, etc .... it works flawless and has been for over 2 years.
Does this lock have auto-lock. In other words - if I enter my house and forget to lock the door behind myself - will it lock.
is there way to make the auto lock longer than 30 seconds, 1 minute would be better. I have ring alarm system as z-wave base station.
Will this work directly with Echo plus?
The Echo Plus uses the Zigbee protocol. This particular Kwikset 910 uses the Z-wave protocol, so it has a Z-Wave module installed in it and won't link directly to the Echo Plus hub. Is it possible to dissable the cylander (or have a locksmith do this by modification) - making it a keypad only entry system?
Yes, the cylinder can be removed or replaced. However, not a great idea because it runs on batteries and when the battery dies, you would essentially be locked out without an alternative entry method.
