I see no problem hanging the fan 4 feet from your roof. I just hung one and actually removed 4 inches to make it shorter. The fan is very well balanced!

Doesn’t move much air very slow speed
I bought this Fan 2 months ago and it was professionally installed in my new outdoor patio but I’m not happy with the fan I have a 20ft ceiling bought a 8ft rod even in high speed you hardly feel any breeze at all very disappointed initially the wall unit did not pair well and I had to call customer service to send a replacement which they did promptly , overall I can only give 2 stars it looks good , it’s also expensive I bet there are other nicer fans in the market for this price I wish I could return it but right now I guess I’m stuck with it

Good Fan, Temperamental Control
This fan is very quiet in operation. You will only hear the noise of the air moving. Controls are a bit temperamental. I have to cut power to the fan to reset wall controls about every two weeks.

No remote. Loose wire needs to be checked/fixed before installation.
This fan does not include a remote.

Do not buy! Did not work. Wasted money electrician attempting to install.
Do not buy! Paid electrician to have installed on a 2 story ceiling. After wiring it up and installing light switch control, we found out that only the light was working, the fan motor would not kick on at all. Triple checked all wiring, turns out the entire smart control system on this is just trash. Paid $200 bucks to have an electrician take down my old fan and ended up putting it right back up after attempting this thing. Lots of other ppl having same issue as me, save yourself time and look elsewhere.
