Mine is WiFi and as long as your WiFi is up it will work.
We connected green wire to ground (A), connected white neutral wire to B, and connected red live wire to C and it is not working?
You got it backwards. The live wire is black and the red is the return wire (load). There should be a ground (green or bare), neutral(white), grounded hot (black) and return/load wire (red) Hope this helps

Terrible customer service
I have been trying to get some tech support from Avatar since the last week in June. I used their “Contact Us” procedure twice and tried to leave a phone message once. No response. This is ridiculous customer service. A little while ago, I tried their chat service. The chat line said it was unavailable.
The remote will not pair with the switch. Also, there is a glitch with the mode lights on the switch. If there is a manual switch, it does not work. I have tried everything to get some tech help. I guess there is nothing else to do except return it.08/10/2022Verified Purchase -

Follow the directions for the install! You need a common white wire!
For almost 20 years we used a yard stick to flip a switch to turn on a blower motor for the gas fireplace (it was an electricians poor decision).
