Fantastic Smart Lights Impressive Customer Service US based

After much research I finally jumped into the smart light world, now I wonder what took me so long! I chose Sunco smart lights for 3 reasons
1) based on USA 2) they list a phone number & I actually talked to a very helpful representative. I had a problem with Smart Life app connecting, she told me to try Tuya app & call back of still having problems, that’s impressive! 3) 5 year warranty (I’m 99% sure that’s what’s in their discription)
The Tuya app worked great, it was harder dragging the big step ladder so I could get the bulbs in ceiling fixers than it was connecting the lights. Due to UPS shipping malfunction, and Amazon’s amazing customer service I got 2 boxes of 6 each (I paid for all lights) I was able to get them installed & working before Halloween, but that’s not why I got them
I wanted them before we went back to standard time. Very glad I was able to. I was later getting home last night than planned so I got to test out the remote turning on lights before I got home. All lights I wanted turned on were on when I pulled in the garage, no dark trying to find the lights then unload the car.
The whites are bright if that’s what you need, the colors are lovely, I had my team colors on during the ballgame last night so much fun! I’m still playing with the colors & white lights. For a reference to the brightness of the lights, I generally have them only on 10% or less that’s how bright they are. I think that’s pretty efficient if I’m using them at 10% or less of their full brightness. Not a fan of ultra bright lights but you gotta then for some things….like makeup!
Sunco lights have made this customer very happy. Their customer support via phone not just email is rare in ecommerce these days and my personal preference if I need help or have a problem. I would recommend these smart lights to anyone for consideration. I think you’ll be pleased with the quality and the value of Sunco Light as well as their customer service, with a phone number (that’s a big plus for me as a consumer). So far I couldn’t be happier with this purchase, I’ll update of needed, I just don’t think I’ll have to.
Thanks if you read & found any help in my experience with Sunco Lights. Now I need to get lights for the interrogation blinding ceiling fan lights I’m hoping Sunco has that size bulbs.
BTW these lights work with Alexa & Google mini I tried both. If Smart Life app doesn’t do the job try the Tuya app, that’s what Sunco customer support recommended & Tuya app works well for me..

Easy to use with Alexa.
Literally pull them out of the box and install the bulbs and a few minutes later – your good-to-go.

For the price they are good.

For the price I can’t complain, they are not as bright as the GE ones I bought previously but they are much cheaper, one doesn’t change colors through Alexa only the app, and one will not pair. Overall I wasn’t expecting much so it met my expectations…lol

White spectrum works well with Alexa app, but a color choice gets stuck

Recently installed and have found that the white spectrum seems to work well with the Alexa app . . . but don’t try changing to a color. And if you do, it will take a lot of trouble-shooting to change it back. I have tried this several times, and the outcome is that once you select a color, you’re essentially stuck with it until you disable Alexa and reset the device. I thought it might have something to do with the fact the the color spectrum on the app is continuous versus discrete on the Alexa app, but even toggling back to the native app doesn’t resolve the issue. There’s probably some sequence of toggling the lamp and/or the apps on and off, but with one bulb, two apps, and two color schemes (a white and an RGB) for each app, that’s way too many permutations to trouble-shoot! If you’re looking for a dimmable smart bulb that can go from warm white to cool white, and work with Alexa, this seems to fit the bill, but if you want the color functionality, this isn’t it. As an aside, I have used ‘Report Issue’ on the Smart-Life app, however, once you read the reply from support, the message disappears, so that you cannot refer back to it.

UPDATED – increased rating to 4, as I have now figured Alexa colored lights conflict. It’s an app integration issue. While the Smart Life app integrates well with Alexa for shades of white, it falls short if you want to access colors. To access colors, you need to first power-off your bulb in the the Alexa app, open the Smart Home app, turn on the bulb by tapping the appropriate icon, then toggle to the ‘Colour’ screen. If you then power on the bulb in the Alexa app, you will find that it has now changed to the color you selected in the Smart Home app. I think the Smart Home app tries to be more comprehensive than e.g., the PlusMinus app, so maybe it would be better if you wanted to link your refrigerator. But really, who wants to hook up a smart plug behind the refrigerator.

Few kinks.... But overall super awesome!

It’s a great deal to get so many lights in one package. I needed five lightbulbs to completely outfit my room so having this sixth as a backup for this price was a steal!
Overall they’re great quality! Tons of color options, you can choose between different shades of white for the lights, and there’s even options to create preset lighting schemes!
Integration with Alexa was super smooth and she even captured all of the names of my individual lightbulbs and presets, so I can tell her to turn one light on or even all five! It takes a second to get used to the language you need for the Alexa skill, but past that it’s a breeze!
I have just a few cons from the whole experience,
The only con of the product itself is the directions are a little hard to follow and seemingly has some broken English, but read carefully and also follow the directions alongside the Smart Life app and it shouldn’t take more than 10-20 minutes to set up.
The rest of the cons are all with the App itself. It has a few limitations such as the WiFi it can connect to. It has to be a 2.5g WiFi source or it won’t connect, so trying to it to connect with my 5g WiFi was a little difficult. Also I tried using the sync to music feature once and the app completely crashed and I had to delete/redownload and reinstall the lights a few times to bring it back to life. I have not since attempted for fear of unsyncing my whole room again.
Overall I give this product an 8.5/10. Super happy with my purchase!

A little buggy setup

Have a few types of Sunco smart lights. These ones had some connectivity issues and took multiple tries to finally pair. Not as bright as my older version from a few years prior
