Frequently asked question
It works with an Orbi mesh router Dont know about google mesh router.
Yes you are using 220 single phase. You can separate the 220 line into 115 Or 120 V meaning red wire go to one outlet. The black wire goes to the second outlet this will work but if you’re going to put 220 into a single outlet this system Will not work
The switch is not dimmer switch. The dimmer switch link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZCT6NR9 If any question, please contact us at [email protected]
If you don't connect it to wifi, the switch is same as regular switch. If any question, please contact us at [email protected]

I was able to update the firmware in app for one switch but not the other. Strange since they are exactly the same.09/15/2022Verified Purchase
Just what I wanted
I purchased the 2-gang switches to replace two light switches in my shed. It was always a pain when I left the lights on in the shed and had to go out at night and turn them off. I have most of my house under Alexa control, so this seemed like a good option.
First off, be sure to label your existing wires. Only at the end of the installation did I notice the nice labels included in the bottom of the box. I could have used them since there were extra wires powering outlets in the switch electrical box, so I lost track of the light load wires. I got it right the second time around.
Setting up the Smart Life App was easy, however it only recognized one of the two switches at first. I let the firmware update on the first one. For the second switch, I tried turning off the breaker for 10 seconds, then pressed and held the switch for a few seconds to get it flashing, then it was recognized by the app, and I updated the firmware on that one also.
I was a bit puzzled why Alexa would not recognize the added switches. After several tries, I found I needed to “Link” Smart Life with Alexa, then everything worked great. Hopefully this will help someone who also ran into problems getting Alexa to recognize the devices.
The confusion about the red/green indicator is certainly understandable, but it doesn’t bother me since it’s in a shed. I have a different brand Alexa switch that has a white indicator LED. It turns on when the light is off so you can find the switch, then turns off when the light is on.
However, it is exactly what I wanted, so I can’t complain at all. If I have any problems in the future, I will add to this comment, but at this point I am very happy with the purchase.08/25/2022Verified Purchase
Lesim made a great design
I’ve ordered 30+ switches (motion, 3-way, 3-gang, 2-gang) from Lesim, so I may be able to provide the most comprehensive review. I’m very satisfied with most of them, but I am quite frustrated with the 3-way ones.
ISSUE WITH the 3-way ones: They sent random good/bad items and you never know if you’re getting a good one before you order… I ordered a total of FIVE 3-way switches from Lesim, only TWO of them are good and have the right functionalities, and the other THREE have missing functions. In particular, TWO missed the functions of (1) delayed close, (2) timer close, (3) relay status change — to set the switch’s status when power goes off then on, (4) grouping with other switches, and another ONE misses the function of (1) and (2) above. Only the TWO out of FIVE have all the functionalities (1,2,3,4). I need a total of THREE only, so I kept ordering and hoping that I can receive the good ones, but unfortunately I couldn’t… I managed to return two of them… At this point, in principle I could keep re-ordering + return until I receive a good one, but I lost the patience and also don’t want the seller feel that I’m abusing the return policy….
SELLER, if you see this, I hope you can reach out to me for a replacement of a good 3-way switch with all the functions above. I like your products in general (see stories below), but am so frustrated with the 3-way ones.
BIGGER PICTURE. I spent dozens of hours and from hundreds of brands why do I choose Lesim? It’s not the cheapest one, but I cannot see any other brand matching my need. I see that Lesim PUTS EFFORTS on the design and does the RIGHT THING, comparing to most other brands. I have some special needs: (1) I badly need Smart Life app because I can easily integrate with my other devices. (2) I want all switches to come from the same brand, so they not only look the same, but also I can easily group them when needed and control better, Lesim happens to provide just everything, motion, 3-way, 3-gang, etc. (3) Most importantly, I was searching for switches whose thickness is as thin as possible, and the 3-way ones from Lesim are of 1.1in think, which STANDS OUT among all the smart switches I can find. Based on these three reasons, I found Lesim is my top choice.
Generally, I can happily report that nearly all the switches I received work extremely well. Let me summarize my findings.
(A) the traditional switches DO have the functions of delayed close, timer close, relay status change, and grouping. Perhaps the only downside is that max number of min for delayed close is only 1hour — sometimes I want more but this is a minor issue.
(B) the motion sensor ones also work great. Its sensor can be turned off and the switch becomes a traditional smart switch. It has some very minor limitations in my mind. (1) no relay status setting, (2) if the sensor function is turned off, then one cannot set ‘delayed close’, (3) one can only scenes like ‘if switch is turned on, then blabla’, instead, one may hope to do ‘if motion is sensed, then blabla’. In the latter case one can turn the device into a security sensor in the day time. Once again, the max delayed close is only 60min.
(C) the 3-way switches, if you receive a good one, will also have the right functionalities (delayed close, timer close, relay status, grouping) just like traditional ones, and can be grouped with traditional ones. Unfortunately, as I said above, you may not receive a good one. In any case, I’m happy to report that for BOTH good and bad ones, THEY ARE REAL 3-way switches: meaning that if you switch on/off the second traditional switch in the other end of your 3-way loop, then this Lesim 3-way smart one will correctly detect it, and turn its indicator light green->,red or red->,green, and also change status in the app. In other words, if you say ‘hey google turn off BLA’ where BLA is a Lesim 3-way switch, you will never worry about turning it accidentally on.
(D) Cover panel plates. Oh, this is another issue. If you order 3-gang or 2-gang, then the cover plate has two pieces, an inner and an outer piece. If you later want to open up your switch box for repairs, then you can easily put a flat head screw driver between the two pieces, slightly turn it, to separate the inner/outer pieces safely. In contrast, for the single / 3-way / motion-sensor switches, their cover panel plate is a single-piece. This means if latter you want to remove the plate, you have to put your flat-head screwdriver between the plate and the WALL, and then pull out the plate with a strong force. This way you almost surely destroy the paint on the wall…. I ended up just using traditional cover plates for all my single switches, and discarded all the Lesim ones for this reason.
(E) Setup connections. I have 50+ WIFI devices at home and still it’s extremely quick to set up single/2-gang/3-gang switches. Smart life just quickly finds them without me even clicking the + button. Somehow weirdly, for the 3-way / motion sensor switches, I have to manually lick the + button which takes a little longer. For the motion-sensor switches, it usually takes a long time — I may have to reset it several times, sometimes changing from rapid blinking to slow blinking (a direct connect mode) multiple times before the app can find it. But this is a once-for-a-life thing so not a big issue.
(F) I can report that just by holding the button on the switch, one can easily reset it. Some other brands require you to turn off and on your main power switch in order to reset — which is ridiculous.
Disclaimer: so far I have used the switches only for a few weeks. I cannot tell if they will last long, but all of them do work right out of the box.
Overall, I’m happy with the purchase. Just for the 3-way switches I own, two are them are good and one has missing functions. This is the longest review I have ever written, and this is my way to show my gratitude towards Lesim: you made a great design — perhaps not perfect (see my suggestions above), but it outperforms most brands I have seen.08/17/2022Verified Purchase
Money well spent!
Our last house had automatic lights for the front porch so we never had to think about turning them on or off. Our new house does not and we were constantly forgetting to leave them on then coming home in the dark. I live in a really safe neighborhood but that doesn’t make me feel any better about coming home to a completely dark house, you know? After a bunch of research we decided these would be the best way to go because they offer a bunch of different combos for switches which will all work on the same app and integrate with our current Alexa setup. Installation only took my husband a few minutes. Setup in the app took a bit longer but I believe it was mostly due to user error and me making it more difficult than it needed to be. Once I figured it out though it was smooth sailing. Integration with Alexa was also super simple. I’ve now got our outdoor lights programmed to come on at sunset and turn off at sunrise daily by themselves. I can tell Alexa to turn on/off the entryway light or front porch lights and she will do it. If for some reason I forget to leave on a light in the house I can also use the app from anywhere to make it so we aren’t coming into a completely dark house. I already have plans to add more switches to our garage, laundry room entrance, back porch, and the basement apartment exit.08/09/2022Verified Purchase
Hard to setup
I spent weeks trying to set it up. Finally saw a truck from a review. Works good once set up.07/30/2022Verified Purchase
Great Wifi switches
I bought the 2-pack of switches in April 2022 to replace some Honeywell timer switches for my outdoor lights and holiday light plugs. These were easy to install, get paired up in the smartphone app and automatically integrated into Alexa. Super easy! I really like the ease and simplicity of these switches.
After about 3 months, one of the switches stopped working. The light was green (off), but could not manually be switched on, and it showed offline in the app. I reached out to Lesim and they worked with me to replace the switch. I got the new switch, installed and back in business! Great support.05/12/2022Verified Purchase
