Excellent System-Easy to Use-Reliable-Great Value for Cost

This is an updated review of my Hiseeu NVR that I have been using for over 1 year. The system is still performing at an exceptional level with 7 Hiseeu cameras recording. Cameras used are 4 Outdoor Bullet Type that came with the NVR, 2 Outdoor Pan/Tilt/Zoom Cameras and 1 Indoor Snowman Pan/Tilt/Zoom
This is a great All-in-one system that is easy to setup and use. The cameras are pre-configured for the unit. Just plug them in and you’re ready to go to view and record the live images. The unit is self-contained and does not need to be connected to your home router. Captured videos are downloadable to any 32Gb thumb drive. Image quality is excellent. I got my system set up with the 1st camera is less than 5 minutes after unboxing. There are no router settings to change. You just plug the unit into the router, and it works. You don’t need the router to run the system. Connecting to a router is needed if you want to use the Phone/Tablet app or the PC app to view and download images and videos. The PC app works perfectly on the Microsoft Edge browser.
This All-in-One NVR system is a replacement system for an older security system that I purchased 6 years ago based on a totally different system for capturing images and recording data which was complicated to set up and difficult to retrieve videos – it also required Internet Explorer 11 to view the images and retrieve videos – Microsoft has removed IE11 from future upgrades so my old system will be rendered useless.
I am extremely pleased with the Hiseeu All in One with 12′ LCD Monitor, 3TB Hard Drive, Wireless Security Camera System with 8 Channels. The self-contained unit and includes a Monitor and 3Tb hard drive, if you wish you can easily replace the drive with a higher capacity drive – I installed a 6Tb NAS drive and I get 135 days of data from 7 cameras. The 3Tb drive worked perfectly, but I wanted to have more saved data. It comes with a two-button mouse which works with the monitor and system just like a desktop or laptop computer system. I am amazed at the night-vision capability.
The system has excellent video definition, night vision, significant storage capacity (3Tb), and wireless connectivity between the cameras and the NVR. This system comes with plug-in transformers for each camera and one for the NVR. There is also an antenna with a 10-foot cable for one camera if it is installed in an area that cannot penetrate through too many walls.
My NVR is located in my basement. Wireless reception is excellent with no dropped connections in various locations, 4 cameras inside my house and 3 cameras outdoors.
Select ‘Video Manage’. You will see list of cameras and UP and DOWN arrows to move the position of the camera Up or Down in the display order on the screen – you do have to change the Area Edit if you are getting alerts on specific areas of the camera vision. Changing the order also changes the camera position when viewing on the PC or Android apps.
The menu system allows you to control every aspect of the system and is accessible by right clicking the mouse. Menu items include Setup Wizard, System setup, Video Playback, Video Backup, Volume, Wireless add, System Exit etc.
One great feature is the motion (video) detection available via System setup&gt,Channel setup&gt,Video Detection. There is Area Edit feature to home in on part of the screen you want to detect motion and a email notice option to send a snapshot of the image detected. To set up the email go to System setup&gt,Network setup&gt,email. Enable email select SMTP provider, your email and password, SMTP provider, port, encryption type etc. For Gmail use smtp.gmail.com, Port 587, Encryption type TLS — Gmail maybe a problem since that have shut off access for ‘receiving info from less secure apps’ as of May 30, 2022. I have switched to using Hotmail with the settings of smtp-mail.outlook.com, Port 587, Encryption type TLS. All of my cameras are setup for motion detection, and I get an email when an event is triggered such as someone at the front door, mail delivery etc. I have one camera that detects motion detection only from 2300 hrs to 0600 hours using Night Vision (I am checking my basement camera for any nocturnal intruders such as mice). The system works like a charm.
Video playback is available for viewing for all of the saved days on the hard drive using the onscreen calendar on the built-in monitor. You can view 4 camera channels at a time. You also backup videos on to another system via a USB drive. Backed up videos are in .avi format for viewing using any type of video player (I use VLC).
PC app and Phone/Tablet app Setup:
Put in the Cloud ID, and the IP Address of the Hiseeu System, plus the # of cameras, then ALL cameras will appear. You need to be connected to the router for these apps to work. Otherwise, you’ll have to view your cameras directly from the All-In-One system.
The quality of the images is excellent. On the Android app there is a button where you can select either SD or HD. When viewing remotely, it defaults to SD for each camera, but you can select HD if need be.
The NVR is built into the display. You can either view the display on a desk (it has a kickstand to keep it upright at your chosen viewing angle) or you can use mounting holes to mount it flat on the wall.
The mechanical mounting arrangement of the included cameras has 3 motion adjustments on the mount: 1. At the wall, there is a ring to loosen/tighten for leveling and to set the adjustment for either horizontal or vertical movement. 2. An Allen bolt allows you to move the camera either horizontally or vertically. 3. Another Allen bolt at the base of the camera which allow additional leveling adjustment. All extremely easy to manage. Allen wrenches are included in the kit.
Technically the system is easy to use, straight forward to setup and manage the system through its menu system. I like both the PC and the Android apps. They give you exactly what you need for remote viewing. The 3 MP cameras give you amazing detail.
The system worked so well that I purchased a second unit that I gave to a family member after testing it out.
I can highly recommend this system!!!

Love this System!!! Buy! Buy!! Buy!!

I am someone who has tried different methods for security going back many years. Mostly, I’ve tried using traditional wireless IP Cameras connected to a router with a hard drive in docking station attached to the router. I’ve continued to work with this setup for years, trying to get it work reliably. Yes, I was able to view the cameras remotely, but saving images the hard drive was mostly a failure. My old setup was complicated and didn’t work well. The Hiseeu system is EASY to setup and deploy. There are no router setting to change. You mostly just plug into the router and it works.
If you are in a double-NAT situaiton (for those who know what that means) this is not an issue using this system. Despite Double-NAT, this system can be viewed and controlled remotely. NOT a problem.
I just KNEW there must be a better way!!
I’ve looked into security systems, many priced above $ 1,000, but since this is a HOME security system and not a commercial system protecting a million dollar warehouse, I just could not justify that type of expense.
Then, I found this Hiseeu system that I purchased on April 1, 2021. It seemed to give me everything that I wanted from my hobbled together DIY security system — Plus MORE.
It also seemed to give me the same capabilities as the $ 1,000+ systems that were far beyond my budget.
The Hisseu system for $300 includes 4 camera of high resolution (3 MP) and an installed Hard Drive for at least 30 day storage. Many surveillance systems include NO Hard Drive for storage, so that would be ane extra expense if you purchased those systems.
So far, I have been testing the system before I permanently install cameras. Each day that I test the system and discover its’ capabilities, I become more impressed and know that I made the right decision in purchasing this system. I was considering a competing system that was similar but included NO hard drive. The competing system had no extra cameras you can purchase on Amazon. However, this system includes several cameras that are easily purchased to add to your system later.
At the time of purchase, I ordered an extra PTZ camera. I have some experience (I have purchased an deployed at least 10 PTZ cameras of different brands in the past). I must say that the Hiseeu PTZ camera is the best of all the PTZ cameras I’ve purchased — EVER. It is a 3 MP camera with IR (infra red) for viewing in darkness, Plus a flood light (which I didn’t know about at the time of purchase) when you want to see an area in FULL COLOR when there is no available light. You can remotely activate the Flood Light to light the area in Full Color — I love this camera!! It takes about 5 minutes to join it to the Hiseeu system as your 5th camera.
I won’t lie, just like any other electronic system, there is a learning curve for Hisseu, but I was able to get it all figured out in a weekend including the Android app and Desktop App for viewing.
There were a couple things that frustrated me for a while, but I figured those out.
    Camera Order on the Display:
Most people want to order the position of their camera images on the screen according to their needs. I could not figure out how to do this. As it turns out, it’s quite simple. Right click the display screen and select ‘Manage Cameras’. You will see list of cameras. To the left of camera list you’ll see UP and DOWN arrows. Highlight the camera you want to move and click the UP and DOWN arrows to move the position of the camera Up or Down in the display order on the screen. That’s it.
Changing the order her also changes the camera position when viewing on the PC or Android apps.
Android app, Access the 5-8 camera group:
This frustrated me for a while. I could view cameras 1-4, but not the second group of 5-8 (this is not an issue with the PC App). Finally, I discovered the answer, which is devilishly simple. Just swipe your screen from Right to Left, then your second group of cameras appear.
    PC Setup:
When I first began working with the app I didn’t quite know how to reach the cameras. I was entering the IP Address of each individual camera but that wasn’t working Then I saw that there was a drop down menu for ‘NVR’. I select that choice, put in the Cloud ID, and the IP Address of the Hisseu SYSTEM, plus the # of cameras, then ALL cameras appeared like magic. It was easier than I thought. You enter the SYSTEM info and ALL cameras connected to the system can be viewed.
Once you know the secret, it’s very easy. Anyone should be able to do this.
These are the ONLY frustrations that I had in setting up this system. Everything else was totally intuitive without even referring to instructions.
I have emailed [email protected] and he quickly responds. I can attest this this is a very good seller. I’ve actually had heated email arguments with sellers in the past over technical issues with their products. Rest assured, Johnny seems to be a seller to cares about making his customers happy with their purchase.
Each time I’ve emailed Johnny with a question or concern (including prior to purchasing the system) he responded quickly with information or instructions. This seller still cares about taking care of their customers even AFTER the sale.
I must say that the quality of the images are no less than astounding. On the Android app I noticed that the image didn’t seem to be very high resolution. At the bottom of the screen, there is a button where you can select either SD or HD. When viewing remotely, it defaults to SD for each camera, but you can select HD and the resolution of the image improves before your eyes. When viewing remotely, I can easily read the time on a clock. This is one of those little things that you learn as you gain more experience in using the system.
The NVR is built into the display. You can either view the display on a desk (it has a kickstand to keep it upright at your chosen viewing angle) or you can use mounting holes to mount it flat on the wall. It’s not VESA compatible for mounting onto a swivel mounting bracket (as you’d use for a TV) but Amazon sells universal VESA mounting brackets compatible with the display unit if a swivel-type mounting is important to you.
So far, I’ve talked about the positives to this product. As you know, nothing is PERFECT, so there must be some negatives, right?
The most annoying negative to this system is the mechanical mounting arrangement of the included cameras. It has 3 motion adjustments on the mount.
At the wall, there is a ring to loosen/tighten for leveling and to set the next adjustment for either horizontal or vertical movement.
Out from there is an Allen bolt that will allow you to move the camera either Horizontally or Vertically (depending on how you set the ring to allow it to move in the horizontal or vertical plane).
Finally, there is another allen bolt at the base of the camera which allow additional leveling adjustment.
This may not apply to everyone, but if you need to make independent adjustment to both horizontal and veritical axis, then this is not possible out of the box. You must choose ONE!! For instance, if you want to adjust floor to ceiling ajustment, then you will NOT be able to adust the horizontal axis to it towards/away from a wall.
This was very annoying until I found a camera mount that restores whichever axis you need (horizontal or veritical). This is about a $ 7.00 purchase, but it’s a lifesaver. You will also need to dig appropriate bolts/nuts/washers from your toolbox for mounting.
Here is the mount which will restore your missing axis of movement:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HMNJM6U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_9N1JFRSF78867D46WWB1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Usually, when I believe that I’ve discovered a Negative, I realize that it’s my lack of experience with the system. Usually something that I have not yet learned how to do.
At first I thought the integrated Display/NVR was a negative, but now I realize that it’s a space-saving feature. I was prepared to install a separate shelf for holding the NVR, then separate mounting for the display. As it turns out, the convenience of integrated NVR and display saved me time, effort, and wall space.
I see no reason for a person NOT to buy this system. Technically, it’s easy to use. I like the way it’s managed. Mostly pretty straight forward to setup and manage the system through it’s menu system. I like both the PC and the Android apps. They give you exactly what you need for remote viewing. The 3 MP cameras give you amazing detail.
If there is any reasons not to select this system to provide an excellent surveillance system for home or business, I honestly do not know what it would be. Even the annoyance with the lack of simultaneous vertical and horizontal movement, that is easily solved with an inexpensive camera mount and some nuts, bolts, and washers.
You can probably tell that I absolutely LOVE this system. It is one of those purchases that I will always be Happy that I decided to make.
If you’ve been on the fence about taking the plunge for a security system, take my word for it, you will NOT go wrong with this one.
It gives you everything you need at an affordable price.
    Go for it !!
