Device detailed description

Legrand smart devices are designed on the most robust, secure, and interoperable industry standards. Each device is connected to the network, enabling new features and enhanced security protection with updates triggered through the app. These devices allow simple and convenient control using the mobile app, Alexa, the Google assistant, and other popular control platforms. In the app, use scenes to create the perfect ambiance in your home. With automated schedules, sync your outdoor lights with sunrise and sunset, or program to simulate occupancy while you’re away. Legrand dimmers also use less energy than ordinary switches, with automated options available to promote enhanced energy savings. The smart universal dimmer operates all dimmable lighting types and loads (except 0-10V), installing easily into the home’s existing electrical wiring. Its patented universal technology automatically adapts to the load or combination of loads attached to it, eliminating flicker, early dropout, or “pop-on” deficiencies which can plague other non-adaptive dimmers. The radiant Collection is a step up from standard with simple, classic options in wiring devices, home automation controls and screw less wall plates that complement today’s homes.

    Did not link with Alexa.

After 20 attempts to link, I gave up. Customer support was closed. Find out the next day they are having problems with Alexa. Just frustrating. Nice dimmer switch though.

    Onboarding Very Complicated

We used this product for the lights on the front of the house. Wanted the lights for security and wanted to dim for the look and to get longer bulb life. Installed it 2.5 years ago. It’s now in the trash can. Every time WiFi went down or power failure, we had to re Onboard the switch. It is not a straightforward process, and, in our case, numerous times we needed to talk to the head of technology and even he had problems getting it to connect. Last event it was not working for 25 days so needed to turn lights on and off manually, which is a pain but worked (doesn’t help when your out of town. Speaking of which when out of town if it goes down to complicated to ask someone else to try and Onboard again.

    Doesn’t play well with Alexa.

We put Legrand non-smart switches throughout our house and wanted a smart dimmer for the kitchen. This product does not work well with Alexa. I think it has to do with Alexa having to go through the Legrand app and it gets all wonky. The switch eventually failed all together and would not even work with their app. I replaced with a new one and it also didn’t work well before failing all together. I put a normal Legrand dimmer in since the smart versions need work.

Does not work with Amazon Alexa

I was able to install easily and linking to the Alexa skill for the legrand app. However, I was unable to discover the device after numerous attempts. I uninstalled the device and restored to the factory default, then attempted again with the same results. I sent an email to Legrand and Alexa technical support a week ago with no response. This is not what I paid for and I hope that someone will help me.
