Anything that wires directly to a normal on/off switch. This switch does not have special functionality to control any lights with dining or RGB functions. Just On/Off
Can I remove the cover that I see in the picture and install this in a 2-gang box next to a switch and use a single 2-gang cover instead.?

annoying to have your whole switch box apart and have the replacement not work. do yourself a favor and buy higher quality. luckily i was just testing the various switches on the market. this was a no-go.

Useful smart switch hindered by app
My work allows me to work at home occasionally and I’ve always wanted to find some way to notify everyone else in the house that I shouldn’t be interrupted. After looking at several smart switches to work around some wiring issues in the office, I finally found this one. Not only would it allow me to control a somewhat-hidden, non-toggled outlet, but I could also change the color on this switch (outside of the office) to let people know I am unavailable.
Installation was simple enough, but the smart app needed to get this operational is not the best. I thankfully was able to get it paired with Alexa and a few smart routines programmed to have it toggle the state of a smart plug, but the big draw (the LED) was the worst part to work with. I only saw a select number of ‘scenes’ I could set it to, otherwise I had to pick a solid color. Even at that, the color selection struggled to pick the exact color I wanted from the color wheel. I eventually settled on the closest I could get to red and left it at that. With some clever naming, I can now get it to turn on by saying ‘Alexa, turn {on, off} do not disturb’.

Great product but limited RGB combinations
This would be my third purchase on wifi power switches and I have to admit that this one is by far the best one I’ve encountered. For safety it uses both ground and negative poles and is able to run enough load to have a fan with building lights without having issues of over or under voltage or too much of a load. The led on the switch itself makes it easy to find during the dark and both bright enough to clearly see it even when the room is lit and dim enough to not hurt your eyes when the room is pitch black.
One complaint that I do have have is that the surface on the switch itself has the feeling of being low quality and the LED while it is RGB, it does not produce more than 6 colors at a time in any of the scenes. It would be great if this feature was improved as it falls short from other RGB systems capable of producing a much larger combination. You can change the color combination, but you are still limited to no more than 6 colors.
It is easy to setup with the universal Smart Life app which I use to control all of my wifi smart switches and lights for my aquarium and reptiles. To make it even better the switch have independent controls for the built-in leds and has various scenes that you can setup on a timer for a nice touch. Combined it with other LED systems and you can use the Smart Life app to create a nice light show. I purchase two of these, one for each of the kids bedrooms and they love the fact that the LEDs act as a night light with changing colors that they like very much. No more having to leave the hallway light on so my kids do not wake up in the middle of the night in pitch black to go to the restroom.05/27/2022Verified Purchase -
