All Alfred locks can be lock/unlocked manually or with the motor. For normal functionality of any motorized deadbolt your current door alignment would need to be adjusted so that the deadbolt can extend and retract freely without needing to push or pull your door at the same time. Hi there, I am not certain what is meant by 'iron doors' but all Alfred deadbolts can be installed on doors that have 2-1/8' dia main bore hole with a 1' dia cross bore hole and either 2-3/8' back set or 2-3/4' backset.
