It comes with a charging base, but I wouldn't recommend buying a refurbished robot.

The other model drives forwards into the dock and parks, allowing access to the removable dust bin in the rear.
no it does not mop
It will stop to avoid falling down and it will go in a different direction.

Had an issue but was made right.
Shark as a brand, I’m a fan. Sharks price point, a little hard to swallow. I thought I was doing myself a favor getting refurb bc it should good as new right..? Eh. I bought this and the first one wouldn’t do anything I got it connected to the app easy peasy but then kept giving me an error. I let Amazon know then I read the fine print, which I should have done before. When the refurbed one wasn’t working I looked around at retail store and realized target had brand new same model for 10$ more. However the fine print stated they would accept returns just exchanges. At the end of the day the new refurb one works fine better than my deebot robot that lasted 5 years. We have a cat and 2 dogs so it puts in work.
Did the replacement work? Yes. Should I have just looked at target and bought a new one for 10 dollars more. YES.09/26/2022Verified Purchase
Helps keep up with pet hair on hardwood floors.
Between living on a ranch, people tracking dirt and messes in all day as well as numerous cats and dogs and the occasional livestock this thing helps keep the messes manageable. It doesn’t get the pet hair off the area rugs the best. It does a lot better on the hardwood floors. I do love that I can operate it through the phone app whenever I am at home or away as well as schedule run times.
I wish the dustbin on it was bigger, the run time longer, and that it would clean a specific room instead of doing the entire mapped area. I can label the rooms on the map but can’t have it clean just a specific room. Overall I like it and will probably get another one for the basement.08/02/2022Verified Purchase
Great little vac
My old robo vac died so I was looking for a cheaper replacement. This one was a great price for a better product. I love that it maps and doesn’t just randomly move around. Easy to use from my phone. Picks up all the pet hair and random crumbs07/25/2022Verified Purchase
Use this every day. I can’t believe how much it picks up
I have 2 short hair dogs and run this every day. I used to have to dust at least every few days, it has been a month since I dusted and I still haven’t had to dust yet! The remote control is wonderful it comes on every day and only takes about an hour to clean 4 average size rooms and 2 bathrooms06/07/2022Verified Purchase
Effective and Full-Featured
I’ve been using this for a month now and can’t think of anything I want it to be able to do that it isn’t already capable of. I’ve waited years for certain features to become available at this price point ($169.95). This robot was ‘Renewed’ which is Refurbished / Open Box. This item did not appear to have been used previously and as far as I could tell it was actually new when I received it. No scratches whatsoever, cling plastic hadn’t been peeled off, all original packaging and instructions, no parts missing.
Shark doesn’t list suction power for their robots and I had wondered if that meant it was in some way insufficient. Upright floor vacuums have at least 15,000, so distinguishing between a robot vacuum with an advertised 2,600Pa vs. one with a claimed 2,800Pa seems silly. After seeing how well the RV1001 cleans, I now understand why Shark doesn’t need to list their suction power. These small differences between units probably aren’t even accurate numbers, and are far from the only aspect of these machines that determines how well they clean. Does the unit of interest overlap previous paths to ensure complete coverage? Does it map to ensure no spots are missed? Does it have edge brushes on both sides to bring anything just outside the roller into the cleaning path? Is it good at parking itself at the dock even when it’s in a narrow spot? That’s what I wanted, and I got all of it. The option to clean specific rooms is good to have, and it will charge itself mid-run to avoid depleting its battery too much. Draining a lithium battery close to zero isn’t good for it, and this robot ensures that doesn’t happen.
I also like it ability to control it from anywhere in the world. It’s hooked up to my Google Home, but I’m not sure if this is necessary for controlling it remotely or not.05/23/2022Verified Purchase
