Hello. Yes this opener is wifi enabled. I bought one of these a few months ago and I am very pleased with it. It is quiet. It notifies me (almost) all the time about when the door is open or closed. I bought one of these a few months ago and I am very pleased with it. It is quiet. It notifies me (almost) all the time about when the door is open or closed. And it was a very good price in my opinion compared to others in the 3/4 horse power range. I said 'almost' all the time above only because the wireless connection between the opener and my wireless network is solely dependent on my wireless connection and not the door opener. If your internet is down then the connection to the opener is down. Not the fault of the opener. The only other con to this opener that I have noticed is sometimes the range of the remote is not that great. I can be pulled in the driveway and press the button and it won't open immediately. I have to push the button a few times before it opens. This may not be an issue with the system itself but may be an issue with the reception between the remote and the opener. I don't mind though because in my mind it is more safe because anyone trying to scan the frequencies to open the door have to be very close to do so. Therefore it seems safer to me to have to be right up in the driveway before the door opens. My overall rating for the door opener is a 5 out of 5.
Can the unit be set to illuminate upon entry and exit through the door via safety beams like craftsman/chamberlain/liftmaster units?
There is a light that illuminates both upon opening and closing. It can be hooked up via your computer with a flash drive to open & close. It does have the beams but that does not solely light or unlight when opening. You can run the open & close via your phone or computer.
