Most cost effective value and also great support
I have several of these 8CH-0TB DVRs,using the ZOSI dome cameras and really like them. They are not overly complicated to set up and afterward, to review past events with ease. When lightning messed one up.I didn’t hesitate to purchase the same brand, ZOSI ,for my replacement. When I set the password for the newest(this)one, I promptly forgot it. I thought I set it for something I’d remember easily, but I was wrong.
After many attempts to enter guesses, along with no results trying the SPD app, I search-worded ZOSI and right away, found Support, and their site had a Chat button. There was no long wait, and within minutes on Chat with a great rep, I was back up and running. No matter how great the product, after-sale support is so very important. I am very pleased with how these ZOSI dvr’s work, and now, VERY pleased with ZOSI support! I’m so very glad Amazon has them at reasonable prices, too.
A later email exchange with ZOSI support instructed me on how to get another dvr that had quit working up and running again. It seems it only needed a BIOS update,using a thumb drive and a restart.

Composite video output in PAL format on unit sent to USA
Over all the unit seems to function well, and for the money it’s a good value. The issue I have is that the composite video output on the unit I received is in PAL format which doesn’t work with TVs in the USA (NTSC format). The VGA and HDMI outputs work OK, but I need to use the composite video output for a feed to a remote TV. No response from tech support so far (5 days). Not worth the hassle of returning the unit, just disappointing that a feature didn’t work correctly and tech support didn’t respond in a timely manner.

Worth the money and get the job done!
It was easy to setup. Pretty much plug and play. I purchased due to having trouble with another DVR. Pretty similar setup. Basically, I just plugged the old cameras up and and followed the instructions. Remote setup through the app was easy along with recording and playback setup. Great buy, definitely worth the money.
