Can the smart app setup a schedule to changeless the brightness using this dimmer? (E.g. Morning- 25%, Noon-100%, midnight-5%)
I don’t believe you can in the Smart Life app, it can only schedule on or off but not brightness, but I have it tied in through Alexa as well and using the app you can create routines to adjust the brightness.
Will this still work if offline (without internet)? (Assuming everything was configured while online)
I have lost power during storms and the device maintains the original settings. On/off but I am unable to access the device thru the Smartlife app to adjust setting (daylight savings time). Do I need to unplu it, bring inside closer to my router to get it to reconnect to the app? Has been offline now for 2 weeks.
Can I plug a splitter into it and then plug two strands of lights- will it dim all the lights
Not sure. I had dimmer plugged into power strip and my dimming was real choppy. Then I plugged into an outlet dimming was smooth. I am not sure if splitter would cause the same as power strip

╠ ►My Review: This is a cool add on to my older string light set up that doesn’t have any timer or wifi functionality. This goes beyond that with the ability to dim LEDs or incandescent lights. The plug is a little heavy and large to be aware of when setting this up, but does allow the 3 plug type. It is easy to connect to wifi and control through the smart life app that most wifi devices use. It is a little more expensive than I wanted to pay, but does solve a problem I had adding power, timer, and control. It also saves money through using less power when not needed. You will need the 2.4ghx set up on your router as it does not work with 5ghz. Overall I like this and would recommend it for added wifi timer function.08/31/2022Verified Purchase -
Works great. But has one minor flaw!
I bought this to dim my string lights on the patio. It was very easy to setup, as most Smart Life compatible devices are. It seems to be made well, maybe even a little better than other smart plugs that I have purchased. My only complaint is that it doesn’t come back on if it looses power, you have to manually press the button to turn it back on. The issue is that I have it mounted to the underside of my eave connected to an outlet that is powered by a light switch. When someone walks by and flips the switch it kills the dimmer, and then I have to go get the ladder out and haul it to the backyard to turn it back on. I have another smart outlet, cheapo smart plug, connected to the same circuit, but it automatically come back on when it gets power. That is how it should work. Maybe they can fix it with a firmware upgrade, I don’t know, but would sure be nice. I would say this product is great if you have it located somewhere easily accessible, but I don’t recommend it you need to put it somewhere inconvenient.

Works like a champ
This switch was super easy to setup and just falls into the category of “set it and forget it”. Even after a power loss, it comes right back to the last known settings. There are two minor caveats that keep it from being 5 stars for me:
1. It seems to leech a tiny bit of power at the brightest setting so your lights aren’t quite as bright as they would be if you plugged them straight into the wall. This isn’t really an issue for me because I usually run the lights at about 20~25% anyway, but it’s worth noting.
2. This dimmer switch only works with 2.4GHz WiFi networks. If you’ve disabled that band for some reason, this won’t work for you.
Apart from that, it works great. You have to install the Smart Life app in order to control it with your phone, but that’s a relatively simple task. I also connected mine to Alexa so I can just tell her to turn them on and off whenever I want. You can even tell Alexa what brightness setting you want and she’ll change it for you so you don’t have to go digging for your phone to make adjustments. Of course you always CAN use the Smart Life app to make adjustments, but you don’t have to. I bought this to control LED rope lights that surround my back porch railing. With the app you can turn lights off/on and set brightness.
