- World’s Longest Wireless Range: Powered by LoRa technology, the long-range yet low-power system offers the industry’s longest receiving range in the market (1/4 mile). Our long-range coverage enables its use in areas challenging for most residential Wi-Fi systems, such as basements, outdoor porch/patio areas, sheds, free-standing garages, even remote outbuildings on your property.
- Early-Warning Notifications – Receive real-time early-warning notifications in the form of smartphone banner alerts, limited SMS/text messages, and emails, each optional and configured per your needs, Please note: YoLink Door Sensor does not alarm or chime, it only sends notifications, For an audible alarm, consider our Siren Alarm
- Low-Power Means Longer Battery Life: Because of the low power consumption, device batteries may last 5 years or more (depending on application and device usage/activity), on standard AAA Alkaline batteries (lithium batteries not required)!
- From Simple to Super-Smart: After setting up your notification preferences, keep it simple and let the YoLink system do the rest and monitor your home and property for you. Or, utilize available advanced automation features, including 3rd-party integration with Alexa and IFTTT, to interact with other YoLink and 3rd-party smart devices. Limited only by your imagination!
- Doesn’t Work without YoLink Hub: YoLink Hub is the only central controller for YoLink devices, and it connects YoLink devices to the internet and the cloud. Without YoLink Hub, this smart sensor does not work with the YoLink app and does not support 3rd-party integration with Alexa and IFTTT. YoLink Hub is not included, please search B07TQLKQLJ for the hub or try our Door Sensor 2 Pack Kit with 1 Hub B088ZFGX3S

Frequently asked question
No, YoLink device uses the longest range wireless technology LoRa, not zigbee and other short range wireless technologies. Thanks!
In the Alarm strategy you can define the schedule or specific period of time to disable the alarm. You also can add different alarm strategy for each sensor or each group of sensors. It is very powerful and very flexible alarm strategy settings in the YoLink App. Thanks!

That is referring to the generation of cellular phone services. But then there is 5 GHz, which refers to the radio frequency of WiFi bands. Like most smart home products, YoLink hubs connect to your WiFi using only the 2.4 GHz band. Almost all home systems actually have 2.4 and 5 GHz. Some systems only seem to show the 5 GHz band (or it is all you can see from your smartphone). It's worth taking a step back and explaining that only our hubs connect to your network, either via WiFi or a direct Ethernet connection to your router or network switch. Our devices do NOT use your WiFi, they are using the YoLink wireless network, the LoRa (Long-Range) based wireless system very different from WiFi. But your hub (one required per system, minimum) does require a connection to the internet. Your WiFi system at home almost certainly has a 2.4 GHz connection. If not, you can plug our YoLink Hub directly into the router eliminating any WiFi worries. Our SpeakerHub does not have ethernet so it is WiFi-only. If you experience any issues connecting to your WiFi there are some pointers in the user guide, on our website SpeakerHub support page and via chat, phone or email with our customer support department. YoLink Smart Door/Window Sensor is designed for indoor use because it is not waterproof. If you use it outdoor, please keep it away from rain or water.

I finally found a mailbox sensor that works!
Over the years I’ve tried different sensors, to let me know when the mail arrives. Some just did not have the range, and others were finicky. I got this starter kit thinking I would use one of the door sensors, but there was no good place to mount the two parts of the door sensor to the mailbox. Far better was the motion detector. It comes with a magnet mount built in. I just joined it to the hub, and stuck the sensor on the inside back of the mailbox. The hub, which we placed in the kitchen, now announces when the mail has arrived.
The app is very well implemented, and allows you to name each sensor. You can then decide how you want to be notified as to each sensor. The hub will announce, ‘your patio door is open,’ or ‘there is movement at your mailbox.’ At the same time, you can have it notify you via the app, or even send you a text message (although the text messages are limited unless you pay a fee). I see no reason to receive a text when you already receive a notification on your phone.
I put the two provided sensors on a couple of my doors, to let me know if one of the grandkids head outside (or if a burglar is headed inside). This is a great way to build a monitored security system (with you being the monitor).08/16/2022Verified Purchase
YoLink is awesome. Never leave your garage door open again.
I started out with a YoLink temperature sensor for my garage freezer, then added leak detection, then a motion detector inside my mailbox to alert for mail deliveries. This one was for the garage door. It installed with just a 3M velcro command strip, the attachment to the garage door is magnetic. Very nice. It works perfectly. I get an alert on my phone anytime the garage door opens. And it has a setting to send an alert if the door is left open for more than an hour and it will alert you until it’s closed. Never accidentally leave your garage door open overnight again.08/01/2022Verified Purchase
Yolink and LoRa to date are the winner in this messy space
super simple setup, and effective reliable detection. So far I say near 100%……more importantly not 110% (i.e. you know generating false events). Very easy setup, app continues to improve (still long road) and decent price.07/29/2022Verified Purchase
Can be Used For Freezer Door (But Not Pretty)
I purchased a Yolink Speakerhub, door sensor, and Smart Wireless Temp and Humidity sensor (all separately) to prevent losses to the contents of the freezer kept in my garage. Previous losses have occurred due to the door being left ajar, power outages, and freezer overheating due to extreme room temperature. Installing the Yolink app on my mobile devices, placing the temp sensor inside the freezer and installing the door sensor and connecting them to the speaker hub provide peace of mind. I was easily able to configure the app to provide an audible alarm on the speaker hub in the event of door being left open or any situation where internal temp creeps up past 10 degrees, and to also send text messages to my mobile devices.
I did struggle to find out how to enter my WIFI id and pass code into the app to add the hub to my network (sorry, but I got to the entry page by accident and don’t know how – doh!). I also found that the door sensor was not designed for freezer doors but was able to make it work with a little help from double sided tape (see enclosed pic). Overall I believe Yolink is affordable, customizable, and smart. I would buy again and recommend to anyone willing to persevere through the learning curve to set up and configure.05/09/2022Verified Purchase
Ease of installation and reliability.
Pros: Ease of installation, reliability, customer service
I purchased this set as part of my overall Yolink water leak detection and shut-off system. I wanted the speaker hub in order to issue voice warnings if the freezer doors remained opened too long. The only downside to the speaker hub is that it is wi-fi only, the non-speaker hubs offer ethernet connectivity. Installation was a breeze, as it is with all Yolink components. Scan the QR code, press the ‘set’ button, assign a unique name to the door sensor, and you are in. Programming the door sensor to issue a warning is easy and intuitive using the Yolink app. The door sensor can issue a warning if the door is open or closed more than a certain number of seconds or minutes and can re-issue this warning every 10 minutes or more until the door is closed or opened. Customer support is very good. I am very pleased with this product.05/06/2022Verified Purchase
Awesome way to start a home security/automation system
Great value, had one switch arrive DOA and another that failed but YoLink quickly sent a replacement and it’s been a few months now and everything works fine. It may have been that something happened to that initial package I received that damaged the switches but support was quick and easy and the replacements work fine. Excited to see additional products they come out with and will be adding on to my system for sure.04/23/2022Verified Purchase
