On the power supply box is the antenna for the remote to work with, so ensure that is exposed for the remote to work.
is there a white light?
You can set one of the six 'DIY' keys for whatever white hue you desire using the RGB up/dwn buttons. The 'W' (white) key is good but has a cold (blueish) hue.
Can you connect an end of one strip to another to make one long continuous strip?
Yes, but you have to buy separate connectors. look up strip light connectors. Amazon sells them.

Bright and easy to stick
My son loves it! We put it together on the ceiling of his room. It was easy to stick and to go around the corners. He uses it for hours and hours every night and it’s holding together well.

Decent with a little tweaking
This is a pretty decent LED strip kit. I bought them to add a bit of atmosphere around my desk. They have pretty decent grouping and aren’t spaced out like some of the other cheaper brands. They’re not incredibly bright, but they add nice atmosphere and might light a small room if both rolls are placed well.
Pros:
-very sticky strip with very little residue left over when removing
-9-10 LEDs per foot of strip.
-DIY options for custom colors
-Most colors look great and are decently bright.
Cons:
-the ‘warm white’ light setting on the controller is a bit too green. Though this seems to be an issue with many LED strips sold right now. I ended up creating a custom DIY setting for a more accurate color.

My kids have these up in there rooms. They are very bright and have many color options. They do sometimes pull the paint. There are a few spots where they are coming off, that could be because I let them hang them. But overall worth the $
