The Sonoff is easy to wire, easy to set up and works great.

This Sonoff is perfect for controlling anything around the house that is low voltage, or anything in your car. My garage door controller went missing i replaced it with a Sonoff SV (SAFE VOLTAGE) and I can control it from anywhere that I have access to wifi. The relay will switch either the supply or it can be set up to switch what ever you have as dry contacts. The Sonoff is easily set up and connected to a local wifi. And controll it from your smart phone or any device with wifi access. I have several around the house to control different things.

Great as a cheap garage door opener if you make some minor modifications

I made some minor modifications to this board to turn it into a dry contact to use as a garage door opener. Bridge the two input relay terminals on one end and desolder the two 0 ohm jumper resistors that connect the power supply to the relay inputs, then connect the other end of the relay outputs to your garage door opener terminals and power this board from a 12 V wall wart. Flashed it with the Esphome firmware and pair it with a tilt sensor and boom, smart garage door opener that works with your Home Assistant.
This board is very friendly to hacking and modification, with clearly labeled connection points for reflashing and great support by a variety of open source firmware like Esphome, Tasmota etc. For my purposes, this board is exactly what I wanted so 5/5 stars.

    So far so good

I bought two of these to switch two different low voltage things at the house. One is my driveway gate. I haven’t tied it to the gate switch yet, but I set it up easily to the WIFI and it is clearly switching.

    Great Little Device!

I incorporated this wi-fi module into the circuit for a lighted address plaque I’m making. It was easy to solder the two connectors to it. Pairing it my wi-fi was no problem. Using the straight thru power function to power both the module and the LED strip that’s connected to the switch portion.
Turns the address plaque on and off based on the sunset and sunrise times daily.
