Works just as well as the big brand names
I had been using the very popular smart bulbs from the huge company that makes many consumer electronic products, like hair trimmers, and razors. Those work great, but they require a hub, which isn’t a big deal, because they come in the starter kits. The problem is, while they do work great, they are insanely expensive. They last long, but the first time I had to replace one, I was pretty shocked at the price. That was before the pandemic, and inflation, and while I still think they are great products, they are very overpriced.
I realized that there are many less expensive options, and honestly, even if they don’t last as long, I could still buy 5 for the price of one of the expensive brand. Most of the inexpensive options use an app, or a mini remote. I personally prefer the mini remote, but I do have the app, in case I misplace the remote.
This set was an incredible bargain, because I really wanted an extra remote, and the customer service was excellent, and would have sold me as many remotes as I wanted. I was just about to order a few extra remotes, but they had a sale that included two bulbs, and the extra remote I wanted, for a few dollars more. Having the extra bulbs gives me more places to use them, and saves me having to order more, at a later point in time. These bulbs do everything that the expensive ones do. You can use white, and adjust the frequency of the white, as well as the brightness, to suit exactly what you are doing, and your mood. There are softer whites for relaxing, and sharper whites for reading, and these are all fully dimmable. When I first tried smart bulbs, I was pretty amazed how they also change colors. Reds, blues, purple’s, and numerous other options. I don’t personally make use of the other colors, but the bulbs come with those colors anyway. If you are so inclined, you can actually set the smart bulbs to respond to music, and put on some pretty wild light shows. Since I am not planning on throwing any rave’s in the immediate future, I am very happy with the different frequencies of white, the ability to dim them with the remote, or app, and they do work with smart home controllers, like Alexa, etc. These work perfectly, and they set up in seconds. If it matters to you, while I am a Vine Voice, and do get products to evaluate, and review for other peoples benefit, I did not get these for evaluation, and while I always give honest reviews either way, I paid full price for these, which you will see Verified Purchase above my review. Highly recommended smart bulbs!
