Will one single hub be sufficient to control lights in multiple rooms independently through Alexa? (I.E. 'turn off BDR lights' turn on 'BTR lights')
Yes, I've seen reference that you can use up to 60 light bulbs... so I assume in multiple rooms as I'm not sure how many people need 60 light bulbs in a single room! 🙂 One thing though is that since these work with wifi, you need to make sure that these get good connection to your wifi.
Does anyone know if this bulb is a daylight one and not soft white?
The ones I got are a horrible yellow & aren't dimmable with a manual dimmer. They may look OK if there aren't any white bulbs around & actually, some people actually like the yellow bulbs. Guess they are reminiscent of the old early days of incandescents.
Purchased several bulbs alone thinking that alexa would serve as a hub. so i suppose that that won't work and need to purchase a sengled hub. correct?
You do need a hub, but in spite of easy set-up to get it going, and linking Alexa with the sengled app, Alexa does not find the bulbs. I just spent $30 so that I can be the only one in the house able to control the lights and then only if I have my phone with me, lol! *sigh*
Can bulbs be turned on and off manually?
Yes, you can use it as a regular bulb. However, if you want to use the smart control abilities, the bulbs and hubs are required to be powered on at all times. This does not mean that the bulbs need to be emitting light. You may turn them off via your mobile device, but leave them connected to a power source.

Bought the two pack for less than the price of one.
Bought the two pack for less than the price of one. I suspected there was something different other than the price. The original has what feels like a more rugged construction, the base made of porcelain and overall larger design. These in the two pack are smaller, lighter, and feel cheaply made in general. Time will tell if they function the same but I had looked in previous reviews and questions for what the difference might be and came up with nothing. Hopefully this review helps others wondering why they can buy this twin pack for less than the single bulb.

These are supposed to be and were advertised as Wi-Fi. Bulbs and you can clearly see they are only Bluetooth. I spend one whole day trying to get the to work like my others BEFORE I finally looked more

You don’t have to buy the color changing ones just buy Sengled the brand is solid the interface is super nice to work it and Google home responds perfectly with it. I bought some other brands that I found that were on sale and they were trash. I ended up buying more sengled brand bulbs and won’t buy any other brand again these work perfectly. Definitely recommend!!!

Alexa, Sengled and the smart lightbulbs
I bought two Sengled, alexa integrated light bulb July 7, 2020. The setup was easy and they worked fine until Sept.9, 2022. After that time Alexa became confuse, she could only recognizing and turn on the bedroom light on voice command, but not the foyer light, and sometime she got confused turning on the bedroom light. I tried to correct this problem by resetting the hub, this took a number of tries, and hours attempting to correct, eventually the Singled app was able to connect with the hub, but Alexa still could not connect with the foyer bulb, only bedroom. The next day I called an Amazon technician for help and we were not able to solve the problem over the phone. The technician was friendly and helpful, but had a foreign accent which can make communication a little difficult. On Sept. 11, 2022, I received from Amazon a new hub and two new light bulbs setup kit, which I haven’t set up yet, but I will and when I do I will write another review. I do like my Singled smart bulb and have enjoyed them over the last two years with no problem. Your reviews helped me a lot, because I thought there was something that I was doing wrong. I hope my review help you all out as well.
