hi, it is possible, But I have not tried it yet. There is a process that opens and closes the curtain to know what the boundaries are and thus you can choose what percentage you want the curtain, in addition to opening and closing.

Works great as designed, however no DIY mode and not as hackable as the R2
It is a great improvement over the R2, which itself is great and I have a dozen or so of. Back in Nov 2020 I sent itead a feature request to use the ESP32 so that OTA upgrades could be done(check), make it a bit smaller to work in their IP66 waterproof box(check), and add the ability to access more of the GPIO pins on the ESP32 (sadly, no check mark here). Although the case has a bit of glue on the 4 tabs holding it together, it can still be hacked by opening, soldering leads to the TX/RX/GND/3V3 pins and pressing the button when powering up. I only used it for a few minutes with stock software, but after adding to eWeLink, Alexa recognized it and I switched it out of blinds mode to regular mode. and played for a minute… then I cracked it open, connected up a CH340 USB dongle, and wrote some custom firmware to it and was able to use the following:
