I personally control this smart light bulb (as well as the round globe version) with the app only. I don't have or use Alexa or Google home. The app is called 'Geeni' on the Google Play Store

Pretty cool light.
Does what it says. Once in awhile tho you have to reconnect it. Which is alittle dump but doesn’t take to long. I like it to set the mood for movies (Mostly red for horror movies)

Bought two. One keeps dropping connection.
I bought two of these to use in a 2-chandelier bedroom application. They look great and are fun to use. However, one of them goes brain dead after a few hours. When off it suddenly turns itself on. And when on it completely forgets its settings. When that happens it blinks bright white until you power it off or reinstall it via the app. And I can tell you that a bright flashing light in your face in the middle of the night is NOT fun.

I’ve never had anything like these before – these are so cool! I love being able to change the mood of a room without having to replace all the lighting – just open the app and dial it in. I’m using them in a floor lamp that has three bulbs and the ability to change which ones are lit with a switch on lamp and is also plugged into a switched wall-outlet, but now I don’t need the lamp switch to control how many of the bulbs are lit!!! I can turn these on and off one at time using the app, change the tone from cool white to warm yellow or even throw in some color if the mood strikes me and have them as dim or bright as I want, all as a group or independently. You can’t do that with a wall switch! I’m just using the app, I don’t have any Alexa devices. The app is super simple, intuitive, and it seems to work quite well. I’m sure I’ll be coming up with other uses for these and I’ll probably be changing every bulb in the house before too long. I don’t have any idea why I’ve resisted these things for so long – I’ve really been missing out. So highly recommended. Get these, you won’t regret it.
