Found by Home Assistant on first try, all functions and all buttons… Only complaint is that is sucks down batteries (12v) and sometimes you have to press any button to ‘wake it up’ before hitting the button you want…
UPDATE: I am on the third battery…. Yes, I bought a new pack the last time… I press a button on this MAYBE two times a day and this last battery died after two weeks….
UPDATE 2 – Exactly two weeks, another dead battery. Pressing a button maybe 3 times a day. NOT worth the price in batteries over time. This just made it to the trash can!!!

Works with Home Assistant, needs LR23A battery

Despite what the description says, this device works fine with Home Assistant using the ZHA integration. Note that it needs an LR23A battery which is NOT supplied. The LR23A battery should power it for more than half a year. We’ll see.

    Works with Hubitat

Remote works natively with Hubitat. Instantly recognized. Not sure what I’m going to do with it now.

    No batteries

Item description says batteries included and cr2430 battery type. Did not receive batteries, waiting 2 additional days now because I didn’t know I needed to order batteries separately. Also appears to use 23A cell battery not cr2430. Possible redesign due to the complaints about eating up batteries? Don’t know how well it works as it won’t have power for a couple days still, but it sounds like a good product.

Works with Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant

Contrary to what the marketing materials state, this does not require the MoesGo Hub. This is a generic Zigbee device that will work with any Zigbee hub. I was able to register it fine with a Zigbee USB stick connected via Zigbee2MQTT. The remote itself is comfortable to hold and is not too large. I was originally going to purchase some hard-wired scene switches but these remotes seem like a great option for portability when you don’t feel like taking out your phone. I’m able to use the remote from every corner of my house.
The primary downside to this remote is that ‘reset’ mode is activated by holding button 1 for an extended period of time. I would have liked to see a separate ‘reset’ button since this can sort of interfere with the button’s ‘hold’ action. For example, I have button 1 set to control my bedroom light. The ‘single’ action turns the light on the brightest setting or turns it off. The ‘double’ action turns the light on the lowest setting. I was planning to have the ‘hold’ action increase the brightness slowly as you continue to hold it but this doesn’t work for button 1.
As a disclaimer for those using Home Assistant, don’t freak out if you don’t see the available actions right away. After you connect the remote and it shows up in Home Assistant, you need to press each button action on the remote to get the action to show up as an option for automation.
I’ll try to update my review later once I have an idea about battery life. All in all, I think this is a sorely needed option in the scene controller space. Similar remotes from other manufacturers are far more expensive.
    UPDATE 2022-04-25:
I removed a star because the battery life is not great. The included battery lasted about 2 weeks. I purchased a new pack of batteries and replaced the one in the remote. Again, dead in about 2 weeks. I came across a review for a similar product from a similarly named company that claims the device makes non-standard (i.e. not ZigBee) calls for the special hub. I’m not sure if it’s the same case here, but I wouldn’t be surprised. Worse yet, the remote reports 100% battery life to the ZigBee hub all the way up until it dies…

Worked great but seems to drain the battery in less then a month

I have used this remote for almost a month now with my smart home system (primarily smart lights).
It has worked well and the only issue I had was with the number’s quickly fading away.
Unfortunately as of this morning, I woke up and found its LED flashing. None of the buttons were triggering my automation’s. I took the battery out and put it back in and the LED was still flashing. I held down the ‘1’ button and the flashing stopped.
I changed the battery for a new one and the Remote now works. From my limited time with the remote, it seems the battery will last 3 to 4 weeks on a Amazons Basics Battery, so investing in a more expensive/longer lasting battery may be desirable.
